Bluegrass, Beers, & Brats: The Best Day Ever

One of the main reasons Beer & Pig exists is to promote our passions: celebrating America, eating delicious food, drinking cold beer, and enjoying music with instruments.  When those things get combined with a great group of friends, the great outdoors, and a gracious host, you’re talking the best day ever.

In case you missed it (know that I question your life choices and make plans for next time) or if you attended the event  and can’t remember anything after your hundredth cup of cider with mead, check out the first video from our brand new YouTube channel, a great video recap of the day.  Subscribe to our channel while you’re at it, it’s the patriotic thing to do.

With any event of this magnitude many thanks are in order.  First, thank you to the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, Virginia for the hospitality, use of their patio, the great food and the great craft beers.

Next, how about the Short Hill Mountain Boys?  Fantastic music from some fantastic gentlemen.

Thank you to our pal Shaky Knee for the amazing job on the video.

And last but certainly not least, thank you to everyone who came out to support the Beer & Pig lifestyle on Saturday afternoon and made the day a rousing success.

Always remember and never forget, never trust a vegan.

Damn! I’d already bought tickets to the Navy vs. Hawaii game – where we had delicious pulled pork, BBQ chicken, and beer so in a way it was still a beer & pig event – but I really wish I’d been able to make this. Please keep having events like this. I’ll make it down from State College for one of them!

I’m so pleased that the “Turkey” chant made the cut!
